Taken almost from the same spot as the one above, overlooking the River Wensum in Norwich, but looking to the left.

Isn't it amazing how much that single tree lifts the image to a whole new level. It literally draws me into the image. Without that tree and it's reflection, it probably wouldn't have the same effect on me.

Which is exactly why I took it. As you say, without that - nothing.

            Re: Photo Assignment: Reflections/Mirror

This is the east front of my nation's capitol building. Prior to President Reagan inaugurations were done on this side of the building. Reagan started the tradition of doing inaugurations on the west front which faces the mall and the monuments so that side is now most commonly seen on TV. Oddly, there is no front or back side to the building. It has an east front which faces the Supreme Court and the Library of Congress and the west front that faces the mall and all the tourists.

Posting this here in the photography section by popular demand! . The reflections in the water are attractive in themselves, but then a further reflection in the ship turns its bow into a skyscape!

I hadn’t started my first 365 “Skyscape” back then in July 2009. I wonder, if had, would I would have thought “out of the box” and chosen this image. I hope I would.

Don't know what to call this. It is not directly "reflection" but morv the effect on the facade of Atlantic Hotel by the reflection from the new facade of the Municipal Building (Raadhus) in Aalesund, as seen from two different directions on two different days:

Nice effect. Worthens up an otherwise a little boring building! Well catched!

That's beautifully spotted, Ombugge. Not the kind of effect one sees often.

Reflection of buildings and boats in Brosundet, as seen through Hellebroa:

PS> The seagull seen near the top of the picture was making a show for the many tourists from Cruise ships in town lining Hellebroa for the classical picture from Aalesund. (The Asians mostly taking selfies with their phones on a selfie-stick)
