That was charming. It sounded like a thrush (Norwegian version) singing. And that next video Kjellen Løger Samferd - well, even though I couldn't understand the words and before the gulls were seen, I just knew he was talking about birds - I laughed and laughed. Oh, he was so funny.

You can just be glad you didn't understand what "Kjellen" say. He speaks his mind in a very "colourful" language, not suitable for children.
There are many more skits by this fellow, all of which can be found on YouTube. Just look for Kjellen Bigset.

Some of his antics are hilarious, even without translation. If you have been watching the discussion about Svele in another thread, you would appreciate the way they are made: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGWt58WkEKw

He is also musician and singer. Here is an example: http://www.nrk.no/lyd/daseduft_i_luf...F6691598CFCC0/

Oh yes! Since I discovered Kjellen Bigset some time ago, I've had many a laugh! And the more "colourful" aspects undoubtedly appeal to my north of England sense of humour - I loved the Christmas Widerøe advert!!!! For those of a more sensitive disposition it may be as well that I am not in an easily link-posting computer state at the moment!

This was intended to be about SPRING!!! but has become a thread about Kjellen Bigset.
I'll guide it back on the right track with this link to a favourit spring time activity in Norway,

Well, I don't have any problem with linking. Here is the video in question: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kNPhP2B7sk#t=34
Oh, Ombugge, I'll have to stop and go and do something else, video after video, he is so stupidly funny that words don't matter, expressions and actions are enough. I'll be back!

Kjellen - some captain! For our male members I especially would like to point to his advice; always shave on the rising tide!

This thread was started with a video of spring on Hessa in 2014.
Now it is spring on Hessa again: http://www.smp.no/nyheter/alesundogo...t-12329043.ece

When we arrived in Aalesund this Wednesday it was spring weather, with 12-15C and sunshine from a clear blue sky:

This veteran boat is enjoying the sunshine:

          Snowbells are everywhere:

OK, back to reality. Here is the next morning:

That is a very nice veteran vessel, I can only imagine how magnificent the sound of her engine might be.

Thank heavens we still have people who have interest, time and economy to take care of such beautiful ships.

                    Spring cont'd;
This is what it looked like this morning:

It cleared up a bit later and the snow is melting:
                    But more is forecasted.

Your last pictures show how nice can be a landscape when the snow decorates the trees.
Have a hot chocolate (or something strongest...) to get warm Ombugge.

Spring is back, at least at sea level:

The snow is still fresh on and down low on the the mountains, but at least there is sunlight until late:

View from the veranda at 2130 hrs.:

                      Spring is on hold.
                      Sula seen yesterday morning:

Lite dusting of fresh snow at the top, which disappeared in a few hours.

Sula this morning. Snow down to abt. 5-600 m. elevation:

Then it all disappeared in the mist:

Even Emblemsfjellet got a new look:

Same view 03. Jan. this year:

                      Sula on that same day:

13.7 is my very definite favourite. All of them express a great sense of landscape

What a kaleidoscope of weather you show in these images, Ombugge! It may be an obvious choice, but #12.4 appeals very much, taken from above and with that lampost standing straight and solitary amongst the frothy surroundings of the trees. Another beauty is the sunset at #13.2. But also I love the set of three photos at #14. 1, 2 and 3 where the viewer is taken back and back from the initial close-up. There again #14.5 is a gorgeous skyscape, where at first sight the boundary between mountain top and clouds is lost in a swirl of greys.
But they all give a good impression of what you see around your new surroundings.
