Hi Tommi, lovely sunset from Stockholm, makes me think of my visit there when i was on a Baltic Cruise, next time i hope to further to Iceland. Looking at all the photos on CV of Northern Europe and beyond does inspire me to go there.

Like that so much Dane…it’s like there are two little cloud-eyes so the sun looks like a smiley!!!!…I think he’s saying “sleepy night…see you in the morning”!!!!!!

Pakarang's comment about Paul's sunset at #482 says it all, and I love Dane's recent one, I see Seagull's smiley, it's fun.

Yes, but there are still the minute pinpoints of light on the buildings and ship. Very effective, Speedbird.

Your image at 494.1, Ombugge, is not unlike Speedbird's in that it shows a sunrise but there are still artificial lights to be seen, in your case in the foreground. I enjoy that type of picture.

living in a stupid boring flat country as Holland we don't have mountains for a enchanting sunrise/set.
so i have to do it with industrial sunset/rise.
in this case port of Antwerp Belgium

Sweet! Throw in a container ship docking and you have a perfect morning.

Oi, oi, oi, how dare you talk about the Netherlands like that. Who do you think you are?
Your photo just above is quite honestly very beautiful. OK, the sky alone is magnificent, but the stark silhouette of the whatever-it-is (some kind of lifting platform?) lifts the picture into another dimension entirely.
I know that Holland and E. Anglia don't have glorious scenery and mountains to photograph, when I see other people's pics. I sometimes despair, thinking what I could do if only there were that outlook to see instead of fields and a few trees. That's why I go to the river so much, and now perhaps the pond on the common.
Then I think, well, pictures in E. Anglia and Holland are not presented to us on a plate, as we say, i.e. almost ready-made, we have to go out, search hard and make them.
Your photo shows what can be done.

By the way, I've tried linking your pic. to this post just to see what is going wrong with the system. Firefox was playing up merry hell Thursday, not finding anything very much.

Later: Well, just tried out the link, at first up comes a blank page but, if you wait, the image then comes.
