Abbie is a great bird, but by crikey she has got one heckuva temper.

One of the highest things on my list of things I would like to photograph, is owls and a proper large eagle.

I wish there was some way to see them both up close in Trondheim as well: with my patience and at the right diatance.

do it like we had do it,go to such a show.
oke you can't beat the real stuff in nature, but in holland we don't have them in nature,so second best is a show, where you can picture them from a meter away,or let them stand on you're arm.(hard to make an image then)
          best regards Thijs

One of the first things I will get myself if I ever can move into my own home, is a CAT!

A cute and very conversational cat!

                          Re: Photo Assignement: Your pets

My wife has been away on business in China so I have been working very hard doing a major landscaping job behind our house. While she was gone our cat Nugget was my only companion. Amazingly she always knows where she can lie and watch without getting in the way and after being alone together so much she got into the habit of rest or napping on anything I had used. I'd finish with the Kubota tractor and put it in the garage and the next time I walked by she'd be asleep on top.

I was using half of an extension ladder as a screed board to help set the elevations of the base for the patio. I sat the ladder down out of the way for a while and where did Nugget decide to take a nap?

The project was nearing it's end and I was looking through the sprinkler parts for the irrigation system. I got up to get a beer and when I cam back Nugget had climbed into my box of parts. Groomed herself, and then took a nap in the little box. I did not have the heart to kick her out so I could finish looking at my new parts.

Then, when everything was finally done Nugget soon enjoyed the new grass in the shade of one of the planters... at least until the sprinklers came on a couple minutes after I took this photo. OK, I must admit that was a bit funny.

Ahhh.... Dane, this is torture... your cat, Nugget, is sooooo very cute.

So soft, so ... (yeah, here it comes.... ) "pretty"... and so playful.

Just the way I want the cat to be...
