Really sorry that you lost all three of them Thijs - but great that you have a new friend too - she's very cute.
          Cheers,

Those are beautiful photos of Nala, Thijs. I like the little patches of pale ginger in her fur, particularly that in the middle of her forehead. She looks so at home, doesn't she, and with all of you making a fuss of her so she must be. That last pic. reminds me of the great images of spiders on their webs that you used to do. Don't they have spiders in Giessen any more???

First of all, my most sincere condolences on your losses. I do understand the feelings you have for your pets, because I remember myself when my late mother's cat had to be "put to sleep". It was an absolutely horrible experience.

Secondly, I'm really happy to hear that you have found new cats. I hope and pray for their quick recovery from illness - they look absolutely adorable and so cute.
With best regards from Jan-Olav Storli

Thijs, that's excellent news - about Nala, not your wounds! Why was she attacking you then?

Another cat lover online - good! I grew up with about 15 cats, ( I did not live in Australia at that time)who roamed free if they wanted but tended to hang around the house. I like dogs but nothing like a cat -cats have the luxury of turning up their noses if they want to or not and are always self sufficient. Your new cat looks healthy and happy - is she spayed?

                      Nala is our forth cat.
I lile them both, cats and dogs, though dogs must be big and fury.
We had a bobtail, 2 bernedeese and a longhair german Shephard.
And i wanted just male dogs, they get bigger than the female ones.

                      Yes., Nala is spayed
Shelter cats in Holland are all " helped" as we say.
                      Spayed or castrayted.
Thats for trying to get a hold to many more kittens.

                      We have a saying here, or maybe its known al over the world;
A dog has a boss, a cat have employees.

Well, I've already bought her a feathery toy but that's for Christmas - she''ll have to send the fish, mouse and marble thingy back if she doesn't want them! Plenty of other cats around.

You would had told me that, when you get one into your heart and home

                        Thijs,
Cats definitely have employees. No question about it. Dogs do like assurance that they are doing the right thing - or something. Cats just don't mind as long as they get a cuddle every day.
