November 2011: CaptainsVoyage Forum Monthly Digital Photo Competition.

November 2011: CaptainsVoyage Forum Monthly Digital Photo Competition.

A brand new digital photo competition will now be opened for this entire upcoming month, November 2011. As usual, we strongly urge all participants to use their special eye and try thinking "out of the box" to make that very special image.

You can use whatever settings you like, whatever equipment you decide (even a Nikon ... ), whatever photo-editing program you choose, to make your image an award winning image.

We kindly ask you not to just throw in any random image, but instead put some thought into it, and place only your very best shot(s) within the theme.

    November 2011 THEME: ....

(since the past month was letter F=Friendship, this month would be something with G):

The theme for the month of November is Grafitti.

    1. (sometimes with singular verb) drawings, messages, etc., often obscene, scribbled on the walls of public lavatories, advertising posters, etc.

    2. (Social Science / Archaeology) Archaeol inscriptions or drawings scratched or carved onto a surface, esp rock or pottery
    ***

We repeat the usual 4 standard rules of engagement:

1/ A maximum of 3 entries per user, within this months theme.

2/ Number your images consequently starting at NOV-001, then NOV-002 and so on (we kindly ask you to please make sure you enter the correct number as it makes it so much easier for me at month's end... )

3/ Find an appropriate but short title for your image (makes it easier to remember when we are going to cast a vote).

4/ The image must naturally be taken be yourself.

    Competition closes on November 25th!

Need some inspiration? Make an online search via sites such as for example google, photobucket or/and flickr to see if you can find any tips!

.... and yes, GOOD LUCK to all participants!

NOV-002 Don't know where they left this overnight!!

It may just be me, but underneath that graffiti is a rather nice boat - I think!! There are certain bits of London where this type of thing happens to trains overnight - assume something similar happened to Mein Schiff 2?

And here I am, thinking I made a difficult subject this month... but see what you all got!

This might turn into one of the most difficult months EVER to choose favorites!

Keep it up folks, this is great!

                        Brilliant Lady E....

And who says graffiti art is not beautiful?

I have always been of the opinion that this is vandalism, but I guess it all depends on where it is applied and how it is applied.

I was fearing this would be another "dull" month, but so far, I'm really impressed!
