I finally found that I could download the images effortlessly to my Mac with the help of a program that was already installed: Image Capture...

Here are some samples from my iPHONE... for all your enjoyment.

According to Apple website, the camera is 3 Megapixels on the 3GS version.

I think I had exactly the same thoughts as E when looking through the images here –asking how many pixels on the phone camera, but really meaning wow, these look as good or even better than many a photo from bigger beasts. Of course there are all the possibilities of subsequent enlargement and so on with a “real” camera, but for showing here on the forum what could be better than these images. It once again reminds me just how megapixel-obsessed folk have become and how annoying and often misleading the advertising hype can be on this topic.

The phone camera is just the thing for those spontaneous “while at work” photo opportunities. What wonderful memories of Fosen these will become.

You have a very valid point: with good light and a steady hand, it's sometimes amazing how good some pictures do turn out... the camera of the iPHONE is a well screwed together camera.
