Why would they drill in the Arctic to find whiskey lost in the Antarctic???? Isn't that a long way to drill, even for 100 year old Whiskey?

Maybe the Kiwi journalist needs a lesson or two in geography.

Fantastic spot ombugge.... that is a long way to drill, almost as far as the hole I was digging in Norway during my childhood: to China!

It's amazing how Dubai as changed over the last decade or two. Does anyone remember watching Michael Palin's 'Around the World in Eighty Days'? I remember he set sail from Dubai on a dhow, back then the water front was just full of rows upon rows of dhows, and the shops were all just old buildings and shacks. What a difference to how it is today. And all built on borrowed money!

Very cute story of how an 87 year old with concealed weapon, holds up on the road with a car that has outlasted her husbands....

That's a fantastic story. I love the way she made sure early on that she would buy the parts that had a lifetime guarantee! What a shrewd move that was.
And i just wish that all the 87 year old's in this country drove as well as she does, she seems to drive with confidence and finesse. Long may she and her car travel the roads!
