      No, no contact whit anybody in Nepal today, but we are hoping that communications will improve soon.
      At the moment it is necessary to prioritize emergency traffic and not to take up too much of the capacity with calls. (SMS is better)
      One problem is that there are no electric power in many outlaying areas so mobile devices cannot be recharge, even if the network cells are working on standby power.

      We had a call from our Godson who reported that his house is slowly collapsing and cannot be lived in.
      This is in a village just outside Kathmandu and as is customary it house three generations.
      Nothing heard from Khiam yet.

      Heartbreaking. As for your friend, communication is difficult if not impossible and it is an anxious time for you.

        Having years of flying in helicopters all over the world, in small to big machines of different make, in all kinds of weather and with all kinds of pilots, I must say I don't miss it.
