    Since a long time limestone was the main stone used to built the houses and monuments of Malta.In the open-air it has a brown-pink colour which is a delight at sunset.

    Wind turbines were an important element of the Maltese landscape.Used to produce energy and to pump water from the soil (no river or lake on the island and very small precipitations)

        Ahhhh... wonderful Valetta and wonderfulisland of Malta. This island is such a Mediterranean dream island..... love the architecture, history and old buses there....

        You haven't lived before you have been to Malta said a t-shirt I had some years ago.

            Are they still operating those old looking buses on Malta?

            I seem to recall an article somewhere that they had been removed from active service despite protests from local residents.
