    Re: about Caen-Normandy

I love the composition of #29, and the delicacy of the rail around the tree and the two plant supports as contrasted with the solid blocks of colour of the tree and other areas.
The Parque is a strange one. It needs thinking about.......

Well Yves, when talking about our forum in another thread, you used the phrase “culturaly enriching”…and that is exactly what it has been for me in the last half hour or so after being stopped in my tracks by your photo of Claude Quiesse’s sculpture, which really appealed to me.

I found this website and have thoroughly enjoyed browsing through the Gallery.

Thank you Cecilia for the link and happy you appreciate it.
In the gallery there are pics. of Qiesse's exhibition in Old Saint Sauveur in 2010.I went there and really in this setting his artwork had a great expression.Furthermore, the artist is what we call in french a "Nature".

Nice, submarines never fail to both impress and create interest with me.

I have visited a few in my life too, but the photographs are not much to talk about... they fascinate me, imagine all that traveling deep under water... it's strange!

The intricacy of the nuclear energy production area is almost frightening. I wonder how it compares with the present day atomic subs.?

I have a love-hate opinion when it comes to these nuclear issues... on one hand, I understand they provide immense electric power in/to places where there are not so many other efficient options, but on the other hand, there is so many dangerous variables in their operation.

I agree.France is completely dependent on this energy. And the real question is : what do we do with the radioactive waste. At present technology can't eliminate the more dangerous. What about the future?

And there you perfectly nailed my biggest worry: what about the future, and the fast accumulating waste?

But that a country, any country is fully dependent on atomic reactors is absolutely true. Not all can rely their power to come from windmills and waterfalls.
