So green, so photogenic - great compositions Yves - and great to put a landscape to the wine!

Inspiring environment to say the least.

Sorry to "hijack" your thread but I came across these BEFORE and AFTER images from the D-day... must share. My apologies!

Four days in Burgundy and Jura last week-end.
Wineyards under a sunny sky, in their autumn colors, stroll and bike along the towpath of canal de Bourgogne, good restaurants and perfect wines.
It felt good to be there!

Yves, stop stop, stop. I'm just sitting here dreaming away, ascending the slopes to do a little dance on the hilltop, making my way slowly down to the valley again, breathing in the scented air and hugging the whole scenery to me in delight.

In a previous post in another thread I spoke about boats sailing on the river Loire. In August I embarked aboard one at Amboise for a trip of few hours. Nice experience in a peaceful atmosphere with an expert guide at the helm which has a lot of knowledge about Loire’s life to share.
I learned I was wrong when calling these boats “gabares” that is a word used in South-West to name the same kind of ships. In Loire we have to call them “toues”, that is to compare with the English verb to tow.

As we had a fair wind,we were able to return with the sail.
