    This is Budapest, Hungary

Was one week in Budapest, Hungary, now from 8. January 2012. As I didn't find any thread about Budapest, I started this one.

Budapest is a city with many beautiful buildings, statues etc to photograph, especially at evening time when many of the buildings are lit
Unfortunately I had no tripod to the camera available (and the camera was new to me), but I give you some teasers anyway. And maybe I will be able to post more pictures later, when I will be traveling to Budapest several times during 2012

                      Hey, look at that!!
                      Great pictures, Eskild...., no doubt!
Look forward to more from what seems to be a beautiful city (never been there) as far as architecture goes.

You said 'new camera'. Make and model...?

The night shots of the helpfully illuminated scenes are so good that there is no need at all to be sorry about lack of tripod!
I haven’t been to Budapest either…makes me think of a sort of mixture of Prague and Paris looking at these fine buildings in a mixture of architectural styles.
Good to hear you may return and show us more during the year

It's an upgraded version of my old camera (350D), Canon EOS 600D, with two lenses (1 x Canon EF-S 18-135 f/3.5-5.6 IS and 1 x Canon EF 70-300 f/4-5.6 IS USM) and some extra equipment.
All the pictures in this thread is taken with the EF-S 18-135 lens

I feel that I would have some more opportunities with a tripod available, but considering that the images is taken with a handheld camera, I have to say that I'm pleased.
Yes, I'm going back to Budapest at least two more times this year. And I hope there will be some more time to take pictures then
