Save the tigers! Do not buy tiger parts!

Save the tigers! Do not buy tiger parts!

My absolutely favorite animal in the world all lives in Africa, and some in Asia as well: the lion, the tiger and the giraffe, and then the elephant.

Some of them are now really close to extinction: mainly because of slaughter for some of their valuable parts.

Chinese medicine and cuisine really like some of their parts: driving up the demand for more slaughter to take place around the world. This is nothing but absolutely tragic.

One of the threatened animals is the tiger in particular.

Today, there is only between 3200 and 4400 tigers left in just 13 countries of the world.

India has the largest population of tigers, with some 1500 tigers in the wild.

There is today 96% less tigers in the wild compared to 100 years ago.

If the current hunt and slaughter of these beautiful animals continue, the last tiger will be killed or die in just 11 years time. From then on, the tiger will be extinct.

    What can we do?

Don't buy products - medicines or foods - made out of tiger parts, or any other animal on the endangered list, and protest wildly against those that fancies these things. It makes me mad thinking that the Chinese in particular will be responsible for exterminating the tiger.

It's not only the tigers that are in danger of becoming extinct, but a lot of different animals.

Here is an article from today in the Norwegian media, with a youtube video at the link, which also states that a certain side-spices of the black horned rhino is now officially EXTINCT.

I find it unfathomably tragic that we as humans, the only species that can prevent an extinction but also cause an extinction, force this forward due to money and demands in cosmetics/ special food.
