That's good. The bascule bridge at Lowestoft has just been closed, access at each end is impossible, apparently.

a week back i saw that i didn't live in Giessen anymore, but in Giesse.
the comunity placed citysigns in dialect,

(btw, the sign of Giessen was on top of this one)

so i went today to a little city to take an image of it,but sadly on that place they didn't placed one.
on the dyke with in the background the mill and churchtower,so tried it here, but could get it with tower and mill,so in the newbuild aeria they have build 2 little flats, but with the looks of a castle.a little castle then.
they only placed it on the biggest road into the villages and the city.

1,the Woerkum sign, the red circle is now the roundabout ,with the purple Arrow points to the ''little castle''
2,the images with the bridges and the mill.
        3,on the dyke,to the tower
4 is halfway between Woerkum and Rijsik in direction of woerkum with the boats and tower and mill.

so there is for shure now,
Woudrichem = Woerkum, Rijswijk = Rijsik, Giessen = Giesse, and Andel = Ael
dont know about the other villages

ground water level is here in Woerkum 50centimeter below N.A.P,Normal Amsterdam Peil which is the markpoint for the water heights in Netherlands

at the dyke at point 3.

Lovely to see these scenes, Thijs. Thank you. That last one is perfect, with the softness of the clouds and their reflection contrasting with the sharp, clear images of the boats and the delicate reed stalks. A great winter scene, isn't it? The "little castle" isn't bad, is it?
I noticed on Wiki recently that Gorinchem is called Gorkum in dialect. Presumably the dialect is the same in South Holland as in North Brabant?

not much winter over here Ivy,more a colder spring time.

there are several appartments in those castle's,there are 2 of them.
i don't believe that there is even a different between those regions

443/2 is a very nicely composed image - I love the execution with that blurred grass in the foreground! Well done!

I've been wondering whether it had been sold again. Great pity.

the weekend with the birdshow the amunition tower was also open, (maybe every day now) but the time i was there and with the CV familymeetings it was closed.
they now had made it as a info point aswel.

on the second floor there made the storage room.(don't look at the people)

with in dutch and English what was in the barrels.

                            best regards Thijs
