The TRANSEURASIAN road
The future will be different.... no doubt about that.
Russia wants to build a brand a new way to Asia, according to this article: http://www.side3.no/vitenskap/russla...422816220.html From the estern point of the Asian continent to the western point of the north American continent, from Cape Dezjnjov in Russia to Cape Prince of Wales in Alaska, it is only 82 kilometers.
The only obstacle is the the 30 to 50 meter deep Bering Straits.
New York - London will be a road just 20.000 kilometers.... little less than two weeks drive if you just keep on rolling.
That is with hassle-free border crossings and without VISA problems I suppose.
