I spent the second part of the trip at Coti Chiavari, a little village above the golfe of Ajaccio at the hotel Le Belvédère. As usual in Corsica, even though you have not a long way to drive, it takes time to reach this place owing to the narrow mountain roads, sinuous and sometimes bumpy, but at the end you are not disappointed, at least I was not.
The hotel is owned by the same family since more than 30 years and they had the opportunity to make a first-class house: the site, the view, the eventual clientele, so they could make a lot of money.
But they were Corsican. Even more, they were from Coti Chavari!
So they built a traditional hotel, comfortable but not too much, at reasonable rates with a homemade cooking of local dishes. Of course the high standard customers will not find here what they usually expect but it’s a place of great charm and we are warmly welcome by the owners.
Panoramic view to the bay of Ajaccio and the beautiful forest of Coti to hike.

Now, this is my kind of paradise too.

I have myself been to the same area, but I do not recognize much of the motifs you have photographed. Perhaps because it was a while ago or because we have our different ways of remembering the details of a place.

Needless to say, it's really wonderful to see the place again in high quality photos.

Thank you J-O for your nice comment.
I am agree with you, everybody has his own way to feel a landscape and give it a sense. At least geography is nothing but sensations.

I like that idea of having a rosé on a terrace with seaview, while looking at the grey clouds through my office window...
