Yes, Yves, I'm just wondering what led you there?

Just an intuition Ivy. The colour of the stone, the green "bow Windows" the elements of decoration remind me Malta.
But I can't find find the name of this palace. As it seems it is not on the seaside I'd say San Anton wich is located in the countryside and was the former residence of the Governer.

Malta was not only an intuition, i remember vaguely an old puzzle, which was also located there. And right, the green windows are also typical.
So as i mentioned the embassy, i was already searching at Malta. Embassy was a suggestion because of the flag pole...

But now i also enlarged my search by Palazzo and also Gothik style.

It is Casino Notabile; Mdina; Malta.
The place was restored recently and reopened in 2017.

        Look here:
        https://www.tvm.com.mt/en/news/ara-c...ara-r-restawr/

I never heard the Malti language before. This is also a nice example.

I think it would not have been long before you found it, Yves, but Ralf has beaten you to it.
That's a great site, Ralf, and it is good to see a lovely building like that properly restored and now put to an excellent use. So now it's your turn.

I think, we did not have a train puzzle for a long time. Normally they are quite easy to solve. Let's try this one...

Presumably a steam loco museum. In Germany?

A museum is connected to this train, right. But it is not in germany.

So is this a particularly well-known train for some reason? That is, is it displayed outside as a kind of special attraction to draw people in to the museum itself?

                  Further questions!
Is this in the Czech Republic?
Was this engine for industrial use?
Where is SteveB, the expert on trains? He'd soon sort it out!

Sorry for the late reply. Was outside during the weekend.
No, it is not in the Czech Republik, but in another neighbour country of Germany.
The engine was built 1914 in Berlin and was built for local gauge railways, not for industrial use.
The train was there first and later a museum came.
At least one of our members should know this... (beside SteveB and PoloUK).

Don't look at me! My world is high-end computing and software-based systems to let trains drive themselves around high density networks. This is way outside my realm of knowledge.

So maybe linked with WWI ? Alsace ?

                    Google says Hoorn - Medemblick.
                    Perhaps Wognum station?

Bravo !! Exactly !! This is a place worth to visit. Medemblik is a very nice town at the Ijsselmeer.
Have a look at their website and watch also the wonderful video!

                      Oh, Tommi - really!!!

Such a brilliant idea! Is it near your place, in Sweden?

Oh, you took it during a weekend-trip to Helsinki. It is the Presidentinlinna (President palace) in Helsinki!
You took the picture from a rent-a-bike-stand. But they were packed away during winter, i guess.

                        You're quick Ralf!
When I saw the opportunity to take this picture, I instantly thought about using it as a quiz-picture. I even had some really good clues!
Normally, when the president is in, there's a Finnish flag on the pole.

                        Back to you Ralf!

So, let us see, if you can solve this one: Where is this one, what is it good for and how is it called?
