      It's DAF then. https://renehoeflaak.com/2014/07/29/daf/

      Hub van Doorne.

Usual cheat works, using the Dutch word for sculpture in the search suddenly finds loads of photos that don't appear when you use Google in English.

Tell us more about the aero and marine applications Thijs? Not mentioned in the English Wikipedia entries.
      Cheers,

      Mark.

            yes correct

Hub started his factory after he repairs a car wich no one could.
the car of a brewery owner.
as thanks he loaned Hub 10.000 guilders to start his company, building trailers and other vehicles.
also he gave him a corner in the brewery to start .
that brewery and the forge???? are still there.
it is now the daf museum.
the forge is there were it was,.

a part of daf was daf special products
they make the landinggears for the f16 plane and some more
daf engines make engines for vessels, inland vessels mainly.
and the vehicles are the DAF cars, trailers, trucks and busses
in the sport they are known for there Paris-Dakar trucks, there race trucks, even there rally and race cars with there ''suspender'' transmission
the cars had no gearbox, but there transmission was infinity, and that was what make daf famous and infamous. the ''for old lady'' cars

later the car factory was sold to Volvo,
and they thought that the gearbox factory was alo in the deal, but wassn't
that was called van doorne transmissie, though daf,not a daf company

they make the new gearbox like the suspender transmission, but this was with pressingshackle.
this box is now build in cars
that box was so good that they had build it in a wiliams F1 car,and was prompt forbidden by the FIA.
Williams was the best team that moment, and that gearbox made them more than 1 or 2 seconds faster.

now the whole daf company issn't much anymore.
the special products ,engines ,busses etcetcetc are gone.
when daf was in need they had sold it to the american paccar comapny,
and everything what wasn't there core buisniss (trucks) had to go
daf is now marketleader in europe, and there trucks are driving at every continent, and is as far i know the biggest in the paccar group.
by bying DAF, paccar have now there own engine, the DAF engine, but chainge the daf mark in paccar.
now they can deliver Kenworth, Peterbuilt, with there own engine, the paccar engine wich was a daf engine, wich the base was a leland engine.
there is build a complete engine factory in America for it.
but also many other parts are build in the usa trucks, nothing of them is build in the DAF truck
            best regards Thijs

Funny! Yep, absolutely - looking back to the big city of Plymouth and the county of Devon from the Cornish side of the Tamar. 3 big chain ferries connect Plymouth to Torpoint, all fighting with the Navy ships for the same bit of river.

Well done Thijs - all yours again.

And so does the flags and the bridge.

If you know the flag, you can skip 11 others.
                    best regards Thijs

Does this clue mean we could narrow down the search area to one of the 12 Provinces that have their own flags? Umm...not easy to see - wish it had been a bit windier!

                      Yes. Well read.
Some flags dosn't fit for 1000% with the colors.
So that make it a little easier.
                      But to make you feel better;
Though i'm a dutchman, i can only mention 4 out of 12 flags.
                  Working...
