Can this be Sark, one of the Channel Islands?

The north coast of Germany, maybe one of the East Friesland islands in the background?
        Wild guess; Langeoog.

i'm thinking in the same direction Ombugge, even thinking of the Dutch islands, but there is only one close enough,Texel.and that isn't. can't also read the plate on the wagon

Germany is right but the background isn't Langeoog.

saw just 1 tower on images on Langeoog, and that was a white watertower, but maybe we are looking to Germany itself instead of a island

Is this near or on the island of Neuwark in the Wadden Sea, in the estuary of the Elbe?
Or it may be at Cuxhaven looking across to Neuwark

yes you're right Ivy from the village of Duhnen i find a image what looks the same.
also i saw a image of the same type of coach/wagon

must have been from there, its the only sloop to the beach that lies under an angle of the beach.
also starts there the line for the walk over the seabed to Neuwerk

              best regards Thijs

Yeah, yeah. Interesting little place, isn't it? And very popular by the looks of it.

Yes, you are completely right, but who has it solved now? I think, this was a perfect cooperation, so just discuss for yourself, who will post the new picture.
It is a popular coachride from Duhnen out to Neuwerk during low tide. Neuwerk is one of the Hallig islands in the Wadden Sea. These islands are undiked and most of them is flooded during high tide. During storm floods just the highest hill with the farm houses looks out of the water. Animals and people have to wait there until the water goes back again. They are fearing the climate change and the rising sea level very much.
At low tide many people do also footwalks out to the Halligs. It is important to have a guide, because dangerous streams are building up when the water comes back and you have to know the right way back. The coaches are extra high, because they are crossing these streams in the last minutes.
              Over to you two again...

No discussion - I issue an edict!
I was near it but had the wrong place from which the photo was taken. Thijs, the GE wizz kid, pinpointed it exactly.
And he need not say he has no photo. Just think of a place in any country, go to Wiki and choose from the photos there. They are all free to use under Commons without problems with copyright.

Thijs, be aware: This was a very friendly message. We see no frying pan until horizon...

For those who like to see a video of the coachride. Notice the emergency cages in the mittle of the sea. These are for walkers, which are too late on their way back.

as long there is no frying pan, i'm safe, though Ivy brought me to Neuwerk i only had to find the right images to see if she was right.
                i only pinpointed it.
but okay then i place a new one.

                where is this?

but do you mean that the lakes got totally frozen in winter?
