Ops, I was wrong, you didn't move outside your comfort zone after all.
I can see why you had problem answering my question about the purpose of the tower, since it was built as a revolving restaurant and converted to an observation tower: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puijo_tower
There appears to be a couple of "woks" up there, but not enough to make it a communication tower I think.

Are we heading back to France Yves??

I don't think so Ombugge.Nor anywhere else.Since I go for a week in Crete on Monday I would'nt be able to be on CVF.
So if anybody has a puzzle in stock, it is its round.

      Full points Yves.
I would say that the picture was taken around 1973-1974.

    No takers since last week?
So, try this one ....which is not located in Crete.

We felt we just couldn't deprive you of the privilege you had so nobly won, Yves.
But, yes, well..... uhmm-mmmm-m - heck. Wish we hadn't waited, now.

Somewhere in Europe and possibly a museum or a civic building of some kind?

In Europe, absolutely. Not a museum but a civic building, yes,in the broad sense of the term.

As broad as a Parliament building, perhaps. I think this is a view of the rear elevation.

You are on the way Ivy.However,it is not a parliament building even though it has (and had) a great political importance.
Don't think it is the rear elevation but the main frontage.

Perhaps a palace? But I can't see a main entrance.
I tried to save your image so that I could enlarge it and see details more clearly, but my poor machine couldn't open it!

Successfully copied it now, and recognise the entrance!

This building had several destinations and one of them was to be a palace (in the French sense = a luxurious hotel). Later, it became a palace in the English sense. Then during a moment, it was...nothing before being again an important place.

A mix of apparent red brick and stone, so perhaps Danish? Perhaps a court building?

No Ivy, it is not in this part of Europe, you are too much North.
Not a court building but it has a link with Justice.

Very well, South to Italy and perhaps a rather splendid police HQ, or Italian version of our Scotland Yard? Not that it looks particularly Italian so I don't hold out much hope.
