      I don't know. Ask NRK.
That was meant as a joke, but there are no smilies with Comments

Nice trip in Norway via internet.
Not sure at all,but I saw a place that could look like your picture Sigve.
Near the Sognefjord between Laerdalsoyri and Aurland on a mountain (plateau) above the long Laerdaltunnelen.
But I can't find the name of this area.

Good try. Follow the roads. But Aurland-Lćrdal it's not.

Thank's to you I come back to areas I visited a long time ago (75-76).
But I can't find this strange rock.
Does it take place in Sogn Og Fjordane? On the road 50?

Sogn og Fjordane; no. Road 50; no. This formation is to be found on the web.

    I guess it's Suisse artist Fischli's work in Valdresflya,Oppland.

    Comment

Yes, that's correct, it's a work of art along National Tourist Route 51, Valdresflya.

      Wikipedia:
Rock on Top of Another Rock
is a sculpture by the artists Peter Fischli and David Weiss which was exhibited outside the Serpentine Gallery in Kensington Gardens in 2013.[1] It consists of one large rock balanced on top of another large rock. An earlier incarnation of the work was a similar sculpture on the plateau of Valdresflya which was one of the artworks installed on each of Norway's eighteen scenic highways.

And then the next quiz is up to you!

Oh! You wanted to tease me a bit!

We are in Praha 1, Václavské náměstí. This is Pomník Jana Palacha a Jana Zajíce.

This is a very sad monument. Read more about it here:

Of course it is Jan Palach Memorial. Thanks for the link.I read it before.Very interresting. In my young years I went to Prague (1977) where I had a friend speaking French.Life here was'nt so "funny" if you see what I mean. When I return in 1990 it was actually another country.

I will post the next one without your confirmation, Yves, but i found the same picture as you posted. It is because i am out again and will return on Friday.
So think about it a while...

I am afraid, no. But you can put Switzerland and France beside and concentrate on German places.

I was of the impression that the Upper Rhine Valley was as much (or more) German as French and Swiss territory: http://www.upperrhinevalley.com/en
At least we got established that it is in Germany, but not in the Black Forrest or Palatinate region. Being hilly I would think Southern Germany though???

Was this fortress used as a jail for war prisonners during IWW?

And by the way, was it a movie set?

Is it in the Frankenjura area?

Yves, you're on the wrong path, no prison war and no movie set. The castle is in private ownership since more than 200 years. Except of a murder 150 years ago nothing exraordinary happened since then.
Ivy, Frankenjura is a very good guess, but not entirely correct. But it is very nearby. Franken is the correct first part of the area name. The name of the second part was already mentioned in this discussion.
