      Good morning Ivy.
Does this scenery take place in Asia.

        Bonjour, Yves.
        No, not in Asia.

OK, we are not in Asia, so that take out a large chunk of the world.
Palm trees and fairly arid hills behind a relatively large town with some high rises in the downtown area.
Can be anywhere in the subtropical /semi-dry zone. (I.e. between about 20 -30 degr. North or South Lat.)
It is by the sea, since the super yacht "A" is in port.
The port may be a major feature here, judging by the large storage building on the right.
Not a Middle Eastern country, since there appears to be a Carlsberg sign on the round structure at left.
(That doesn't mean it cannot be a majority Muslim country thought)
Do I detect an Indian influence in the architecture and decoration of the hotel or whatever at near left??
The nearest flag that can be seen reasonably well looks like Red/White/Blue, but not clear enough to say for sure.
It is not likely to be the dutch flag though, since it does not fit Dutch Antilles.

I've just had a nice 'virtual tour' around Cape Town. Don't think it's got anything to do with solving the puzzle, but I had a nice time!
              Cheers,

              Mark.

                Just about.

                Very much so, Ombugge.

I shouldn't worry about the red, white and blue flag, it's probably Thijs staying at the hotel!

Well, Yves, tourism is growing there, but not yet in the same way as the Canaries have always been. It is not the Canaries, by the way.

And glad you enjoyed the Cape Town trip, Mark. Waste of time, though.

Then can we link this picture with the Indian immigration in South America?

Thank you for solving this puzzle Mark.
I was involved in a nasty bit of business in a shady bar in Venezuela, didn't know how to get myself out of this trap.
Travelling on CVF can be rather dangerous.
