Searching the coldest places on earth certainly got you there. Apparently, according to Wiki, there is a rival for the title Pole of Cold (which is what the words in the photo translate as) in the northerm hemisphere, and that is Oymyakon, both places being in the Sakha republic of Russia.
Well done, Ombugge, I had thought it might last a little longer! So over to you.

OK, let's get to somewhere a bit warmer and friendlier part of the world.

Where in the world is this????:

Looks like some lighthouse on the top of Scotland, i.e. the Dunnet Lighthouse near Thurso, on the Pentland Fjord. Or the Duncansby Head Lighthouse. Or somewhere in that part of the world...

        Regards; Sigve.

No, not in Scotland. As to right part of the world; yes, in a broad sense.

Nobody else giving this a try for 4 days(????)
This lighthouse, foreland and sight should be well known to any navigator that has sailed to Northern Europe from the Med and beyond.

Maybe, but some of us have not sailed to Northern Europe from the Med. and beyond. Nevertheless, a welcome clue. Virtual trip coming up.

Not in the English Channel. That should cut down on the virtual trip for Ivy by a number of miles.

It certainly is Cape St. Vincent on the Portugal coast, one of the major navigation point along the route from Gibraltar to Northern Europe.

Now it is back to you Ivy.

Have a try at this one. Where is it?

Greek Orthodox church and palm trees??
Somewhere in Greece. I try Rhodes as a starter.

                            No, not Greece, I'm afraid.

OK, not Greece then. Maybe not even an Orthodox church??
That throws it wide open, although the palm trees limits it somewhat.
I'll say we are in a Latin / Catholic country somewhere, but whether in Europe or South/Central America is not clear to me.

The statue is confusing. What does it show??
The horse and rider is OK, but the "Chariot", or whatever, does not make sense. (Either driver or rider)

It can't be wide open if it's limited.

I've tried hard to find out about the statue, but to no avail -yet. It didn't actually strike me as a chariot, anyway.
