I vote for the Seychelles. The Rainbow has the colours of their National flag.

I also found a quite similar looking bus, should be the same type:

If this is correct until here, what else do you want to know??

Maybe too simple for some of you, but where can you find this funny ferry?

No don't get a shock...I've not come up with an answer to Ralf's delightful puzzle picture, but I need the help of you expert puzzlers for clues for this so we can perhaps show our captain we can reach where bloggers can't!

              Re: What place is this?

I bet Cecilia does know where this one actually is!!

It can allegedly take six cars - not too sure about that. It's a wonderful bit of engineering, just has a hint of the 'management leadership course' about it! (beer barrels, bits of polystyrene and some string).
              Cheers,

              Mark.

OH….that “Cecilia” mention is a clue isn’t it …as in Scotland perhaps…though you should know that the non-wheeled Seagull doesn’t get around the country of residence very much, BUT…that power line crossing in the distance seems familiar from my past work for the electricity company, and I'm thinking Isle of Skye....
                I’ve a feeling you’ve solved Ralf’s puzzle Polo!!!!!!!!

Maybe - but you're the one that's actually said where it is!!

I believe it is indeed the Turntable ferry Glenachulish on the run to Skye (www.skyeferry.co.uk).

I wonder if it came up as a result of Ralf's holiday planning?

If that's right, then I reckon it's got to be a Seagull puzzle next. (Recognised the electricity pylons!! Fantastic!).
                  Cheers,

                    Re: What place is this?

Mark, i absolutely agree. This one goes to Cecilia, as she mentioned the right place first!
This is not essentially part of our holiday plan, it just popped up in a report i saw recently in TV.
My congratulation for pushing her in the right direction!!

                    Over to you, Cecilia!

P.S. I am not sure if i want to support this monologue blog by our Captain, as long i am missing his nice messages here so much???

I knew that my time spent working for the Electricity Board would come in handy someday

Just my very best of intentions, trying to drag the action back over here Ralf.

Anyway, you might need to amuse yourself with it for at least a few hours …I have to be out this afternoon and early evening, and I haven’t a photo puzzle ready …and when the USA wakes up I’m rather expecting a delay before I can even work out HOW to post a photo!!!! …today is supposed to be Photobucket’s day for totally switching to the new style site…which your wooden seagull has been stubbornly avoiding…

Back as soon as I can….

Then let's move the Captains puzzle over the right place in the meantime:

Anyone an idea where it is and which ships these are?
