every first friday in september, TRUCKPULLING eve in the village nearby my house.

the same way like tractor pulling, but then with trucks.

in 1989 a iveco and a mercedes dealer want to try to pull the sledge, when there was the farmerdays here in the neighberhood.
and so started the dutch truckpullingevent.
now the iveco team is seen as the nestor of truckpulling.

a few working or dealers standard trucks (with a little changes)

we don`t care about the "environmental pollution", we just love the sport.
trough eyes and longs uche uche kof kof

thanks to the dark and rainy clouds it was early dark and started to rain,so they cover the track.

the legendary daf turbotwin's,there where 2 of them.
1 with a red ass that jan de rooy drives,
and with a blue ass, what crasht in the dessert.
          many people know this video

this is what happens with the turbotwin x2,
where the co pilot dies at.

i wish that to (in my neighberhood then) but the only thing where i can see them here, are the truckpullers.
i followd the truckrace at the tv ,but only then when daf (daf fan, specaly the dakar trucks)was racing, when daf stopt truckracing, i stopt looking.
beachrace, was only intresting because the paris-dakar trucks, but 1.5 hours driving, for a few minutes trucks, don't think so.
truckracing in Zandvoort 1.5 hours or in Assen 2.5 hours driving and a lot of waiting,so don't think so.
dakar senegal, way to far.so don't think so.
Valkenswaard, introducing the dakar teams,1.25 hours driving for a few moments that you can see trough the croud, so don't think so.

i know ,i am a driver so that few hours means nothing to me,but i hate to stand in the line for a long time and see only a few minutes, while on tv you can see it much better and closer.

in 2006 for the rally of 2007 i won a quiz on tv a get 2 tickets for a free entrence in the daf museum where there was a show of the daf paris-dakar trucks, but the glorydays of dakar are over with the 2engined trucks,
so ,i only have the youtube clips for the niced daf rallyclips
                  best regards Thijs

                      aaahhhhhh,those beautiful turbotwin`s ,2 engine`s, topspeed about 200km,
                      ± 1400 hp.

today there was the introducing of the dakarteams, don`t bother me.

what was bothering me was that Jan de Rooy was riding his farewell trip.
i wanted to go this day, only for this but i couldend unfortenaly

this year would his last rally, but trough the economic crisis team De Rooy don`t go to the dakar.

i can`t ask from my people to cut down on one`s expences, and go playing in the dessert by myself.
a icon is gone for the dakar.

                      turbotwin 2

Jan have driven with this one today

unfortenaly there where only these two oldies,
not seen de daf 2800 ntt (his first)
the "suitcase" a daf 3300 (his second)
"janus" a doubble engined, doubble cab daf 3300 (his third) but first doubble engined

JANUS,or what is left.waiting for a restoring on the proberty of De Rooy

THE BULL a daf 3600 doubble engined (his fourth)
                      turbotwin 1 (his fift)
