    Volvo

Are there any Volvo fans out there?

Since we already have a Citroen-thread, maybe we should also have a Volvo thread?

Last Saturday, I met a whole bunch of Volvo Amazon's at Malvik, and when I passed by a while later, they were stopping there, giving me the opportunity to photograph their cars while they were having a break.

So, without any further adue... Volvo Amazon!

Agree.... I love VOLVO, but it's way too expensive to own!

Though, it's quite interesting, when you see a brand new Volvo, it's almost always easy to see it's heritage in design...

Like, I mean, a Volvo will forever be a Volvo, whether new or old. !

                New Volvo design leaked?

                3 images of a possible new Volvo-SUV:

SHAIT! So that's why I have a Ford outside. I bought a VW....

                  To be a bit serious:
In the old days, a Volvo was a Volvo, and I like the Amazon very much.
Today, you never know what you get, other than the logo in the grill and the name on the stern.

Your Volvo V50 is in fact a Ford Focus or vice versa. An Audi TT is a very sported VW Golf, one of the Porche models are in fact a VW Passat, a Vauxhall is a english made Opel, SAAB is GM and so on and so on.

I'm sure I'm wrong in some of my lines above, but I guess everybody get my drift...

Then, back to the beauty of Volvo.
In your first image there, you show us a beautyfully restored Amazon, and I'm sure I've seen that car earlier this year, and here are the owners caravan:

                  Nice thread you started, Jan-Olav.

yes this is right, and they belongs both to the gm factory

nope, saab is in dutch hands, but looking for a chinese buyer.
saab is now from speyker cars,or was,it changes by the week, but saab is almost bankrupt.

with the cost to make a new car,it's much cheaper to borrow knowhow from the other manufacturies.
one saab model had the same bottomfloor as the opel vectra, the lancia thema and the alfa romeo 164.
but all the car manufacturies are connected in one of the other way with each other

this also happen in the truck industry.
years ago the Dutch DAF trucks, the France Renault, the German Magitus Deutz and the swedish Volvo chared the same cab.
this cab product was called ''the club of 4".

                      but OT
                      best regards Thijs
