...these were fine cars, the father of a friend of mine drove one also, when we were still children. We loved it.

The hotel is part of a classic car center called "Meilenwerk" and is about a 20 minutes drive from my place. They have a lot of theme rooms.
Here is the link to the hotels homepage, showing more pictures and a video:

    http://www.v8hotel.de/

The center is a market place for classic cars including workshops, dealer offices and climated cabins, where you can store your classic car during the winter.
Their page is not very attractive, but anyway:

Drifting is apparently a popular "sport" in many places. Here is the ultimate place to practice your passion: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFtUpMTs4vI#t=63

Some random cars from a meeting in Mariefred for month ago:

A Volvo Amazon, actually a quite small car.

          A PV.

The PV's have been popular for different rebuild-projects in Sweden.

          The green All-American.

And a BMW with a very British appearance.

More American steel. I get a feeling that I could get lost inside that coupé.

It says "MG", but I guess that you all can read that? :-)

I would say it's British and green. British racing green?

A blue car? I guess you get the feeling that I always don't care about facts and details - that's perfectly correct. Nice car anyway...

Blue car: MG MGA 1958 ( 2-Seater Sports ) just like the registration number says.

Again i must say that i like very much to see veteran car meetings in Skandinavia. It is a very different mixture to a German meeting which mostly consist of Käfers, Porsches, BMW 02 and Mercedes SL and that's it. An yes. i am an admirer of the Volvo PV's!!

Did you all read about the INCREADIBLE story of the Wet Nellie...

Bought in a garage sale for a few dollars and later sold for a whole lot more.... almost too incredible to believe some people's luck!

A tour coach passing through a tunnel at the Needles Highway, USA: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xN5VpqMnPUk

I don't know if this tunnel is any narrower than the one leading to the old Skodjebru near Aalesund:

As far as I can remember the buses used to go true there at the normal speed. The problem was rather the near 90 degr. at each end to enter the largest of the two bridges:

Here is a night picture from Flicker showing the bend on the "island" side of the bridge: https://www.flickr.com/photos/daniel...n/photostream/

Large vehicles had to do some fancy maneuvering to get lined up with the narrow bridge

My car is not moving, my camera is not moving...., but by useing 'zoom blur effect', it's created an illusion of movement. I zoomed 12 mm, from 24 to 36, and that might be a couple of mm too much. But since it's my very first 'zoom blur' picture, I'm pleased with it.
I used aperture priority, ISO 100, f.22 and one stop over exposure, a tripod and the Toyota logo dead in the center of the pictureframe...., all this of course after watching Mike Browne and his fantastic free videos at Photographycourses.biz :-)

Back from Averøy with two pictures, one of an old Mercedes 180 abandoned car and one of the Scarabeo 5 oil rig.
Looking as hard as I can around the forum to find a correct and suitable thread for the Mercedes, but I belive I end up here

Although of course they are fine here, I just couldn't resist the challenge!
I remembered it was a pakarang thread, and so headed for the photography section: Photo Assignment: Abandoned cars and other abandoned vehicles.

Love your "old find"..... there is certainly something truly magical with rusting cars left in forests... I find them perfect for taking great shots, such as you have done, Sterkoder.

From old to new.... what do you all think about the brand new Volvo?

                              http://www.vg.no/forbruker/bil-baat-...90/a/23281806/

Love the interior shots in the article - they seem to be able to aim for exclusivity and it kind of reminds me of MB-interiors.
