So, there is no reason to buy a new Toyota Hilux with green plates (commercial vehicle) and then re-registrer it with white plates (private car) after ten years... Norway has eventually decided that this will not be allowed anymore.

Pity for Toyota Hilux, because their new model is beautiful to say at least.

So call IS has a fleet of Toyota Hilux. Now the US wants to know how come??: http://www.autoblog.com/2015/10/06/u...s-isis-toyota/
Maybe they have been reading CVF, or watching Top Gear, where this car gets top billing?

If they had invested in Ford, GM or Chrysler pickups in stead there would be no problem with bypassing the "Buy American" rules.
In that case IS probably recon that they would spend too much time on repairs.

Do they also ask how come IS has hundreds of armoured Humvees, while US soldiers in Afghanistan stll have to make do with home made armour on theirs??

That is so illegal in Norway... driving off road needs special permissions from the Government, or a privately run track....

Fun is illegal in Norway, usually.

same here,it's alright to own a big or even bigger car ,but just for the road tax, they rather had that you left it at home, and have a small car ,( or even better drive a chair on wheels )for go to work, which offcorse also must be payed for road taxes
                  best regards Thijs

hahahahaha.... I'm a very meticoulous person, and have kept a financial record of ALL expences related to my car-keep and use.

Since I purchased this current car, I have spent some 546.755,76 NOK..... that is slightly more than half a million NOK since June 2012!!

Not sure if that is a lot, but imagine if I did not need a car, my saving would, or maybe would not, have been half a million more!

So, dear friends - after almost exactly five years on the day since I acquired GLENN, it has moved on and become the servant of a new owner... these remains as the two final images from the very last road trip with Glenn, a trip to my fathers cabin a few weeks back.

May you enjoy prosperity for many years to come with your new owner! You have served me very well for 5 long years, in rain and sunshine, winter and summer.
