    TOP GEAR TV-show

    TOP GEAR TV-show

I haven't paid much attention to this popular program before, and what a mistake that was... a few nights ago, on a night off the ferry, I saw this episode from India....

I laughed and laughed and laughed.... these guys were so hilarious, and all the things they experienced and did along the way, made me laugh out really loud.

I'm not sure if you all are able to see the INDIA SPECIAL by this link, but if it comes on a TV near you, make sure you make an effort to see the whole episode.... it's packed with a lot of fun!

I couldnt care less about cars, but Top Gear is still one of my favorite TV-shows. You have a lot to catch up on Jan-Olav, and the India special isn't even close to beeing the funniest I've seen of them They have also been in Norway several times and made episodes here. One with car-football, one with a homemade snowplow, etc. They are all hilarious.

          Thanks Carina...

Actually, I had no idea they had a humorous "twist" to their shows... I had never seen any episodes before (apart from ads for the program), but it seems like I need to catch up on some old episodes as well.

When I saw this India special, I fantasized about how fun it would be to make a Thailand-edition of the program.... starring me...

I'm a Top Gear fan, too, and only started watching them last year. Previously I'd thought they were just a bunch of car-mad enthusiasts trying out the latest to hit the roads. But they are such characters and just hilarious.

                    Re: TOP GEAR TV-show

I was watching an episode earlier this afternoon. They had lined up cardboard cut-outs of the Stig and were driving past shooting him. I think Hammond shot him a couple of times in the back. When you do finally get within a year or two of catching up Jan-Olav, you will find out what that was all about. I will not spoil it, but i will say that the show found itself in a very awkward position when it came to the Stig, but Top Gear being the show that it is, managed to make very good humour out of the situation. The shows 2010 Christmas Special had a very unexpected twist at the end of it which solved their big Stig problem. Hilarious and totally unexpected ending to the episode.

I think you will enjoy catching up!

One of the many challenges they have in the show:

BBC: Top Gear - The Car Boat Challenge

                      Really fun

Another episode of this TV-show caught my interest last night.... they went to CHINA, and had a look at the very SHOCKING / IMPRESSIVE sales numbers in that fast growing country.

Additionally, it was kind of strange to learn that they do not name their cars like rest of the world... names easy to read and remember.... their cars were given a lot of numbers and letters in combinations which would make my head spin.

PS: And they really do not care about copyrights in China.... everything is copied, no, I mean... not everything.... EVERYTHING is copied!
