        Re: trucks

Is that old Volvo still hauling cargo on the roads, or just within a Terminal??
Looks like cribbing planks are the present load.

That is a very beautiful Volvo truck... Sterkoder, you just must see that one!

Even the light blue color suits the veteran.

                  Re: trucks

years and years back the man that buyed this truck new is now selling and buying secondhands trucks and trailers and shipping them to africa and other places and is now working from out giessen.
years back he waqs in Greece, saw his old truck driving there and went after him
and buyed his old truck back, even with his name on it (but with black tape over it) and restaured it.
now he is making his days again as pulling trailers from sellers to Giessen and to the ports when trailers are ready for shipping.

how to unload sugar beets, for years till mid about 2010,but this was around the start of the 80's.

                          you drove on a tipperbridge

from the walking bridge they and you open the sideboards with a hook.

they gonna tip over the truckbridge

higher and higher untill al the beets are out of the truck.

on the other side of the silo was also a tipperbridge,so that they can go on and on and on.
the last years there was just 1 bridge for side unloading ,the most of the truckingcompanies driving now with tiptrailers or walking floor trailers.
on another sugar factory they unload with big waterguns.

the push them out with waterpower anf get transported by the water to the factory.

unloading with waterguns had his ups and downs.
                                + the truck stays ''clean''
                                - a lot of electric problems in the lightunits of al the waterpower on it
