    Inmate Tribute

1500 Filipino inmates make their tribute. They put this together in just ten hours.

Very strange sight... and how in the world did they come up with this idea in the first place!

My friend, an Episcopal priest, posted this on her facebook page....and I loved it!!!

It's from the Robert Ridgell, the assistant organist at Trinity Episcopal Church on Wall Street in New York City (the very famous "old" Church at the foot of Wall Street). Alexander Hamilton and Robert Fulton are buried there. It was on Trinity's gates where many people posted tributes and search notices for loved ones after 9/11.

I think Bach would have LOVED it!!!!!!!!

From last Sunday's (June 28th) service...the "Postlude", or music after the service is over.....a Memorial Tribute to Michael Jackson

Been following the Michael Jackson Memorial Ceremony for several hours here on TV.
We can have different opinions whether it was right or not to present his little girl on stage, but when she told us he was the best father...., it dawned on me like a lightning that the world did not loose the King of Pop...., the children lost their father!!

"IF GOD COULD MAKE ANGELS...., WHY IN HELL MAKE MAN?"

Yep--that thought entered my mind a few days ago...and then when Brooke Shields spoke..it was so moving.... Then, I caught a glimpse of the kids....and then they were up on stage... and then that precious Paris spoke..and she seems so normal...and she obviously wanted to say what she did... when she said "my Daddy was the best father anyone could imagine," I lost it. I turned into an absolute weeping puddle.

I bet if those kids grow up perfectly normal and ordinary--or even exceptional--but NORMAL--the world with forget all about the "wacko jacko" of recent years........

I also watched the memorial on television. I thought it was a very fitting tribute to Michael. And i totally agree. it really brought home just what a great family man he was. In my eyes this memorial show was done in very good taste, nothing glitzy, nothing too showbizy. Just lots of his true friends telling you what the real MJ was like in real life. And I just loved what The Rev Al Sharpton had to say to Michaels children - "Wasn't nothing strange about your daddy. It was strange what your daddy had to deal with." I, like the audience wanted to cheer him for saying that.

I did not find it strange or offensive that Michaels children came up on stage - I for one strongly believe that none of Michaels brothers or sisters would have forced that upon them. I also become emotional when Paris made her heart rending speech. And like Sterkoder pointed out, it really made you stop and think about the children - they have obviously lost a daddy they loved very much. I just hope and pray that the worlds press take great note of what that little girl had to say about her dad, and at last it will get through to the editors that Michael is not just someone they can write whatever they want about - surely it is time for the press to show some respect. But sadly, I think we all know how unrealistic that must be.

Sitting here in awe, looking at our norwegian tv-channel NRK1 and a rerun of the 30 years jubilee consert with Michael Jackson in New York 2001.
Seen it before, but it's watchable for I don't know how many times!!!!
His performance during 'Billie Jean' is quite something, and only something that can be done by Mr. Jackson.

Starting to wonder though, was Michael Jackson in reality a 'trønder'...??

I mean: black low moccasine shoes and white socks....

Probably among MJ's best performances I think: Olodum style:
