We received news about his condition here in Norway some 20 minutes after the ambulance took him to hospital.

I turned to CNN and SkyNews to see further news, but it was the internet that told me that he had passed away, a couple of hours before CNN even found out.

It's a strange situation that he's gone, and almost not beliveable....

      Whaaaatttt.....??

Shocking..... I just heard talk about his 50+ concerts in London this summer, they were discussing it on the radio yesterday, most people saying that MJ had expressed that it was too many concerts for him to handle.

51 years old Michael now has retired forever to his Neverland, it's all across CNN and major news sites.

      RIP - King of Pop!

I remember I was in Miami a LONG time ago, on one of his concerts: an amazing experience out of this world, even though I was not that close to the stage. He knew music back then, and throughout his career.

I am still stunned by the passing away of Michael Jackson. Like so many others i grew up with his music. Some of my earliest memories of music from my childhood were the Jackson Five. The music they produced was fantastic - just so energetic. My later teenage years were filled with his fabulous solo albums. Track after track was released as a single, and each and everyone of those songs were as good as the last. And then you had the music videos - I can safely say he made some of the best music videos ever - Billie Jean being one of my favourites.

Words simply cannot express just how much this guy contributed to the worlds music history. I for one am guilty of always taking his music for granted, but I guess that says a great deal about his talent - It's Michael Jackson, of course it's going to be good.

Rest in peace Michael, and thanks for all the great music.

I must say, MJ was quite a sensational character. I don't think there is anybody like him in the world, it's just sad that he didn't get fully appreciated before his passing: though that is kind of typical.

It's after a persons passing they get elevated to a higher status and becomes legends. Though, MJ, was a legend in every true sense of the word.

I think we should find our favourite clips on youtube, and add them here as a tribute to his work and life.

Which clip is among your favourite, and why?

One of my favourite songs are Heal the World:

One of the other ones that I really like is the one where he plays drums in the streets of Rio... what was the name of that song?

I think it was They Don't Care About Us.

I very much agree. And I shall start with a song that I guess not many guys will admit to liking, and I know for a fact that it was certainly not cool to admit you liked this one when you was at school.

I'm more than happy now though to admit I love this track - right back to his early years..

                    Ben.

Darn... I tried playing that clip, but an error message comes up stating that it can't be played in my country due to copyright issues..

I don't think I 've heard a song by that name.

If you were referring to 'Ben', try this link Jan-Olav, it's got some other stars commenting on it, but it will show you what the song was like.

I must say, he had an amazing voice and appearance even from his earliest years. I don't think there has been an artist like him, ever.

That was a great track, I love his ballads, Heal the World and Ben were real meaningful songs.

I mentioned earlier about his great videos, this was one of my favourites, brings back lots of great memories from my early adult life.

This copy of the video as got a strange 1 minute add on at the beginning, just skip past it, I think they have added this to get around copyright issues. I have the original of this video myself, and tried to upload it to youtube earlier - they blocked it even before it had finished processing.

                            Billie Jean.

Surely, I remember Billie Jean very well from younger years... Enjoyed it then, enjoy it now, and probably enjoy it tomorrow as well.
