    Captain Reidulf Maalen

Captain Reidulf Maalen from Tustna was my captain for 6 years, and probably among the most amazing captain's I have ever sailed with.

As a tribute to such an incredible person, I have created this movie:

    Enjoy your watching!

It's over a year since this movie trailer was launched, and since then, I've seen it a few times.
I'm watching it yet again because it's so well done and with the sound track, gives me chills down my spine.
This time I'm left with only one thought: I want to see the movie!!
"IF GOD COULD MAKE ANGELS...., WHY IN HELL MAKE MAN?"

Capt. Maalen and capt. Storli are both captains in the same company now!

      Before you mis-swallow your coffee:
Capt. Maalen is sailing car ferry TINGVOLL (said to be J-Os favourite ferry in the old MRF fleet) in the Åfarnes-Sølsnes stretch near Åndalsnes during the summer.

There's a two pages article in todays local newspaper Tidens Krav in Kristiansund. You might find something on www.tk.no without me being sure (haven't checked).

You might buy TK electronically via creditcard on the TK web-page.

That is simply so super-symbolical and gave me such a happy feel-good start to my day.

It's not entirely leagal, but as one journalist said; we don't care either from time to time..., so here we go, a picture from todays paper:

On the bridge of car ferry TINGVOLL, the captain legend Reidulf Maalen, (or Målen, as the paper say)

Thanks for the notice this morning Sterkoder: yes, I HAD to buy myself a copy of the e-paper.

I could have wished the article was much longer... the whole story!

Tell you a little secret, if he's on job Saturday afternoon, I might be on his ferry.
(Going to Ålesund for the 'Vision of the Seas' and plan Åndalsnes and 'AIDALuna' with a return via Åfarnes-Sølsnes back home).
Have to time so that I don't get 'Julsund' then...
