If you have nearly half an hour available, this is something to watch... perhaps not many here would be interested in this, but at least I am.

This is the show at Loy Kratong in Phimai this year, as filmed by James Apsara and shared on youtube:

I’m here! I don’t have long this evening, but everything else can wait until tomorrow.

The music around 8:30 at the end of the sequence with the snake-like dragon (Naga I think isn’t it) is probably my favourite moment, along with the lighting of the temple at 11:23, and brilliantly choreographed fireworks at the end. But there are so many special details of the music, dancing and characterisation, some of it reminding me of the show at the conference dinner in Khorat, nearly a year ago.
I also visited Phimai when I was at the Khorat conference on a cultural excursion unexpectedly inserted into an afternoon of scientific sessions. What a thrill when I realised we were going to Phimai, for of course I knew of it from your photos and video (my photos of this visit have still to be posted).
I would love to return at Loy Kratong to witness this amazing spectacle, though Sukhothai is also high on the would like list at the time of this festival.
Thank you very much for the link, for I am much in the mood at the moment for re-living last year’s experiences in Thailand. (Oh, and by the way, I still think the quality of your trailer is very hard to equal.)

Thank you very much for taking that time, Lady C.

Here is a fun fact.... it's actually a Cambodian Naga-snake, and not a Thai snake....
