And that was all I had to show from the second of a total of three trips to the Land of Smiles in 2013.

Don't wait up for the next thread, because there won't be one. Not because I don't want to share those moments with you, but the third trip was just 4 days long for a meeting in Bangkok.

Interesting what you say about hotel service issues. It can just take a particular staff member in a particular circumstance to really put one off a hotel, but I got the impression from what you say that you thought this was a wider kind of issue. I'm writing this from a hotel that really lived up to my expectations and for which I have nothing but praise. Two members of the staff had only worked here for a short while, but had I not asked conversationally "how long have you been here at Parisa Resort" I would never have guessed they were new. Whatever experience and competence they'd gained elsewhere, they had already absorbed the special Parisa way of doing things. That says a whole lot about leadership and successful management. Perhaps that was what was lacking in that Bangkok hotel? i lliked your hotel room views though. And then what a jolt to find you back in OSL. All the more so for me looking at this from Thailand! One heart, two countries... Thank you from the bottom of my heart for these two most special of threads.

Don't know if this can be called exotic, but I didn't want to start a new thread just for one post and this was the nearest to it I could find: http://www.vg.no/nyheter/utenriks/ut...ge/a/23391323/
