    This is Lofoten

    This is Lofoten

On the old forum, I started a thread called The Lofoten Islands... I hope that we can continue building on that subject, and I restart the thread by posting some images I took with my mobile camera on a charter to Lofoten on July 8th 2009:

After picking up a boat load of guests going to the classical music festival, we made it all the way out to Røst:

On our return, we stopped by another place for a church concert... sadly, due to Alzheimer... ... I do not remember the place's name:

While the passengers enjoyed the evening classical concert ashore, we did some work:

A few days after the charter, I was back again in Lofoten having to spend a night in Kabelvåg. Here are some of the images taken with my mobile phone in Kabelvåg:

Beautiful! But you are so quick posting such a lot of pictures, that we will not have the opportunity to give the respectful amount of comments!

Slow down, leave us something for tomorrow and also think about Seagull. She has to follow up after her cruise...

Ralf and pakarang – I loved your posts – thanks for making me smile as I attempt to catch up before my next away-time!
Kabelvåg is a very nice place in the winter snow too:

After looking at this thread for some time, I'm convinced you must have had the most beautiful summer at work, J-O!!
Another thing (I've told you before), you have quite some eyes for photographic objects and how to place the pictureframe!!

Great pictures from a place that must be one of the most beautiful in Norway....

Thank you for all the comments, and thank you for the wintertime photo.

Indeed, this "section" of Norway is an amazing place, and the photographic motifs are abundant. I think much of the secret is that life seems to g on, without too much interference from the modern world and because of the closeness to the awe-inspiring mountains. The landscape is dramatic, almost no matter what season and almost no matter what kind of weather you experience. Even on rainy days, if you just dar to brave the elements and take your camera out for a spin.

Time to post a few images in this thread again.
Here's our transportation from Bodø to Moskenes Wednesday 18. July; car ferry "Bodø"

And where does it all start? Of cource, in Å

This is literally the end of the road

Souvenir-shop at Å. Seemed like EVERYONE planned to start there

We were late to our hotel appointment, so no images was taken between Å and Svolvær.
