I wonder why the owner of the red post box feels the need to have a lock......
That's because there are (for some reason I don't understand) individuals in Norway (but not many though) who are notorious thiefs of what we call 'verdipost' (directly translated to english 'valuepost') from boxes, meaning post that someone can get any value out of if they manage to fool bank- or postal employees when it comes to identification of 'the rightful owner of the post'.

(This was complicated to explain in english, but hope you understand).

Only one postbox is decorated! I have quite a lot of photos of nicely painted postboxes in Norway and Sweden, but maybe not in Trondheim, so I’ll resist the temptation of go OT here!

Oh that is just inspiring gorgeous, all those subtle shades of yellowy-brown and the lines of cloud and water. Love it.

More ferry images may follow in due time, as soon as I can feel at home on board....

Oh, I know how you feel. Been there myself, and bringing along a camera to use during your payed hours is not something you do in the first couple of months, and maybe longer.

You know I always love photos of Munkholmen, but on such a cold day as this it is simply magical.
