I always associate this time of year with an image of a dandelion that pakarang took, and to which I subsequently paid homage with a photo of my own in a “365”…now Sterkoder’s made it a trilogy!…and as Mark wittily suggests, a reminder of this rainy summer!

I’m totally captivated by this sculpture and am instantly determined to see and photograph it myself some time…thanks Sterkoder for a delightful photo which gave me such a smile

      Re: This is Trondheim

It should be said though, that anyone who desire to take a picture of this, they have to go to Heimdal in front of the old shopping mall City Syd.

For those who want to "follow" me on my Tour de xxx, and where I'm going, keep your eyes up for postings in several threads, mainly "This is....."

Nope, I will not tell you all where I'm going, you have to open up CVF and look around

              Re: This is Trondheim

Oh Graeme, any other year and there would have been a very good chance that I would have been passing through Trondheim and we might have met up, but this summer I had spent all my holiday funds for one reason or another, and I have really missed getting away and pottering around Norway and Sweden. A week ago I really realised quite how long it had been when I actually ran out of my favorite mint chocolates that I usually stock up with in Copenhagen on the way home! ...I can't remember that ever happening before!!!!!!

But don't start feeling too sorry for me! For I shall be flying to Svalbard later in August and returning on Nordstjernens last voyage!

I hope you have an absolutely delightful visit, and will let us know how you're doing from time to time, and even take a few photographs!

Dear friend, can you do something for me on that trip..., if possibilities come through...., time is right...., in a descrete way???

You see, I have info (I seriously can't tell from whom or anything else, because I'm not sure it is entirely official), that NORDSTJERNEN will be maintained to full operational service and will be kept within the company as a back-up vessel for the coastal express.

Do you see any possibilities that you might ask a crewmember, officer, quietly if this is the case? Just to verify my info.

If this is not possible..., it's quite ok. You're there to enjoy the ride, not expediting favors

                    Re: This is Trondheim

Graeme, you have to have your photos on some photo-hosting site first - a lot of us use Photobucket, but perhaps you already use Flickr or any of the other ones that are around. (This saves storage on the CVF server and keeps down our running costs).
Just keep asking if you need further help.

Oh Sterkoder, no worries at all about asking favours! –I’d be for sure asking those same questions for myself should the opportunity arise!!!!!
Not sure that there will be many possibilities though if the crewing is predominantly “Explorer Cruise” mode… those on that side of the business might genuinely not be clued-up on the regular coastal route issues. We'll see...

In Trondheim there's Olavsfestdagene until 5. August.
If you like klippfish and bacalao...., be sure to buy the klippfish from this guy, Mr. Klippfish himself, Knut Garshol from Kristiansund, the man who ownes Klippfiskbutikken http://www.klippfiskbutikken.no/
He only uses 'skrei', the best type cod there is for klippfihs. Knut is my former commander in the medic troop in the old Home Guard, so be sure to say hello from Svein Ludvigsen if you get a chanse :-)

Oh how WONDERFUL! Naturally I would buy Munkholmen . But it could get very competitive if I was playing Monopoly with Lookchin….
…though I’m not sure if his (or my?) attention span is really up to Monopoly…it might end in tears and the board thrown across the floor!
