International departure lounge seems really small though.... the majority of the area is tax free.

..., but isn't that just the result of the good old norwegian soul then? Cheap liquor, cigarettes and fuel for our cars...?
(I know you don't buy fuel in a tax free store, but according to a certain political party, these are the three most important things for a norwegian).

By the way, since we are into aviation in this thread:
Did you spot (and picture) the RNoAF 338 sqn. 'Christmas Star' made of 9 formation flying F-16s today at around 2:30 PM ???
(This particular formation has been a tradition of the RNoAF since the 1950s)

Actually, we were in the Trondheim-thread....

Sadly, I completely forgot about the formation flight today.... too busy looking for the perfect Christmas gift for my father.

A specially selected picture taken by you, framed with a suitable executive frame and a passepartout that fits in every way.
Picture signed by you, of course...., that would be a diamond on the wall

Not knowing what kind of items you have on your list to Santa, is there any picture in particular?

Oh, I had more or less your father in mind, as you stated you were too busy to look for a perfect gift for him.

                Now, what's on my list?
Nothing much. But Wilh. Wilhelmsen 150 years jubilee book and fleetlist wood do great....

Was on duty when this happened... not a good experience at all, and the latest news states that some of the people will not be allowed to return to their homes to live - EVER again.

This was one I saw earlier…but I can’t get enough of it.

I think it’s my favourite of your drive movies pakarang…or perhaps I actually mean the most exciting for as well as the turns and roundabouts there’s also the variable snow conditions which make it so visually exciting. But the masterly extra is the way the pace of the movie is punctuated by those stops for shopping and re-fuelling. At the Coop I laughed when you caused the doors to re-open (at least I think that’s what happened?!). Then the suspense as other customers emerge and the snow gradually accumulates…. would I still be able to see out of the car by the time you returned… It still delights me after many viewings.

I love the winteriness of it all… the quiet moment at the start with the clearing of the windscreen to those opening chords of this beautiful song which seem to anticipate that first still view from inside the car… then that tear-like trickle on the right after the view swings round, and off we go.

It always amazes me how you manage to pick just the right soundtrack to your movies. This one might not have seemed an obvious choice, but it works perfectly, its gentle beat echoed in the movement of windscreen wipers and rhythm of driving.

Can’t get the song out of my head now…think I’ll watch the movie again…and I haven’t even got around to getting out the map and following the route around the port yet!!!!
Whatever it was I was intending to do this evening doesn’t have a chance

Thank you so very much Lady C, so wonderful to hear you enjoyed the drive!

Picking the right music is never easy... I was actually thinking of another song, but this one suited better.
