J-O, your images makes me want to go out and use my camera!!! You are so inspirational!!

There's one perspective I would've loved to try out, and that is the low-down on the ground way to take pictures.
I'm close to 50 and with an operated knee, the 'movement' is not like before, so seeing me getting up from taking a picture laying down on the ground would look pathetic and very much humourous

What I could do, and this is a tips from the Singapore photographer Tom Ang, is to decide what to take picture of, do my camera settings, grab my camera neckbelt and lower the camera itself into position on the ground, with the timer set to let's say 10 seconds....

Lots of great shots from Trondheim. I particulary love those with a lot of perspective, like 1 in #641 and 3 in #646.

In 645.3 the eye is drawn along the "woven" wooden slats on to the shadows and out into the distance, wonderful perspective. Again, in 647.2 there seems to be a slight softening of the distance which I find attractive as it gives a better feeling of depth to the scene. And I love the patch of rich green standing out between the shadowy foreground and darker distance. Trondheim looks beautiful.

                Dear all,

Thanks for all the comments: when I read all your responses I do also feel that you are giving me the inspiration to continue taking pictures and trying to improve and "hone" my skills.

For the near the ground shots, these are shots based on the "fail-and-try-again" principle... as Mr. Ang does, lower the camera to the ground and press the shutter. If it doesn't work the first time, try again.

I just hold the camera near the ground, with the settings I want, try to aim and then press the shutter hoping for the result I wanted.
