Wow…what a dramatic shot of “the boat on the silent fjord” in post #601. I like the one closer to the island too. Your weather seems the same as that I also enjoyed for that trip, on your birthday a year last July. Never thought to take Nidarholm’s bridge after everyone had disembarked… great image, Ajax, coffee mug and all

Right, I’m following you under that arch, and I’m thinking “now there’ll be one of the courtyard, and I BET it will be a great photo” …and of course it is!…the point being that I always have such difficulty with the shadows through the trees on such a bright day.

Comforting myself with the thought that you have a wider angle lens than I do (thus including the uniformly lit grass on the left), I’m now admiring use of that lens emphasising the grassy surrounds of the tower in #606/2.

The sinuous line of the breakwater is simply magical in post #607, and I couldn’t resist going back to my own version to make sure it wasn’t too bad in comparison.

Needless to say, your interior shots are so successful…the colours and shaft of light on the wooden stair, the wide angle one of the brick hall in #610/5, and those clever views from the tower and from, or should I say through, the lighthouse!

As we step ashore at Ravnkloa, thank you for taking me back in your images and my memories to the place I’ve often called “my dream island”.

Trondheim is now a city engulfed by bright colors and a lot of dying leaves:

Oh I like #626 a lot! The green/red contrast really grabbed my attention, and then the texture of the leaf…and then I enjoyed how the spiky leaf edge was kind of echoed in the turrets and roofline of the building, and the out of focus tops of the trees too.

There’s something I keep meaning to ask you every time I see a ground-level viewpoint image –does your camera have a swivel LCD screen, so that you can more easily see what you’re taking and compose the photo in these situations?
I know I should be able to find out myself but I keep loosing track of your current Canon body, and being a Nikoness myself…
When I took a dandelion against the sky last year, it was with a borrowed camera, and I really did like that feature.

That seat looks like my kind of a place to pause and sit a while, and I love your image “leaf on seat”.
