I think this boat was mentioned in a question-post from Sterkoder very recently?

Somehow I don't recall me asking about it in here, but on Norsk Skipsfarts Forum.
The owner of the beautiful hull in Trondheim on 'Pakarang's image here, suspect that his boat is ex. "Rap" from Averøy/Kristiansund

Yes Thijs, those buildings were wooden warehouses along the wharfs, and are now converted to a variety of uses – apartments, offices, and some restaurants such as a seafood restaurant I’ve been to called The Mermaid in the bright red building in #416.

Now careful, Captain! –if I were to take that statement at all seriously it would sure be a “frying pan moment”!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now say after me “One can never have too many photos of Trondheim”.

#417/2 A very successful example of the pakarang way with colour –this one really works FANTASTICALLY well for me. And I like Trondheim Torg, and the door with that plant pot at Baklandet.

Love the tile mosaic wall in #421. I am thinking that kind of thing subconsciously reminds you of Crystal Symphony, though they have occasional larger tiles scattered through the pattern in this example I took on Lido Deck:

(and there are similar tiled patterns round the Seahorse pool too )

#422 Great in black and white!

#423 I like the limited palette with contrasting colours of the brown/ochres and the blue/greys, and such clever reflections.

Yes, Thijs..., we had several of these small boats here up to as late as mid-1970, acting as transport for school-children, ordinary taxi-boats, main means of transport from all small islands when funerals occured and so on...

Sorry for stealing a thread yet again, but as an answer to a direct question, I can't help it....
Here's another of these taxi-boats, "Kvitstein", used here for a funeral transport, hence the coffin on deck and flag on half pole.

With that, the old towering yellow building is now gone.

Trondheim central railway station is being demolished this month, to make way for a new railway station and a walk way bridge over to the new HSC terminal at Brattøra.

I will try my very best to get some shots before the work starts.
