Here is a video made for Volvo, with music by a group called "Swedish House Mafia". They needed some dramatic scenery, so obviously they came to Sunnmore, where else???: http://www.smp.no/nyheter/article7625583.ece

      It's actually a Volvo commercial.
(and with a very small CVF-connection: I actually know the man who shot the aerials...)

Yes it certainly is, but made by a local photographer here in Aalesund on behalf of Volvo.

A short visit to Langevaag today. (With sunshine for a change)
Langevaag was a one company "town" for many years.
O.A.Devold has had their factory and head quarter here for 160 years:

Production is long gone, but they still do the design and marketing here. Production has moved to East Europe and beyond.

The old factory building has been refurbished and contain Factory Outlets, a Museum and cafe's etc.:

With a Marina as the nearest neighbour:

The old steamer Thorolf, which used to carry their salesmen around the coast, is still there:

This old rowing boat has found a new use:

A small lighthouse at the end of the breakwater:

You can see why a breakwater is necessary. View towards Breisundet and the open ocean:

Some boats seen at the Marina in Langevaag.
                A classical pleasure boat:

A converted Net Boat from the 1950's:

This design may not be the most suited for local weather conditions:

You qualify as a true blue "Sunnmoring" when you can understand this statement off the cuff:
"Ej he'kje, men ho hi ho he".

If you can pronounce this statement rapidly without stumbling you are a real Aalesunder:
"Leika daakke daakke med dokke daakke daa?"

You may try it at home.

PS> Or try it in Google Translator!!! It is bound to be hilarious.
