  • This is Honningsvåg / Nordkapp

Well, I can find lots of other villages and towns, but I haven't found a thread dedicated to Honningsvåg and the other Magerøya villages. There must be an awful lot of really good photography of this stunning area in other threads, what about trying to bring some of them together?
    Cheers,

    Mark.

Here's one to start with. An attempt at pan-tilt type photography making Honningsvåg look like toy town.

And today's takes us to 2006 - summer time - cloud down to sea level, three white boats sitting in the harbour. Astor, Arielle, and Adriana.

      Cheers,

            Good afternoon Mark,

Great images from Honningsvåg: one of my favorite Norwegian places to shoot cruise ships!

The hillsides above and behind the city gives a great vantage point, and is well worth the extra sweat. I shall promise to see if I can dig up some of the photos I have from this place as well.

This one's on the Trollfjord thread too, but thought it was a good illustration of Jan Olav's point about the view from the mountains looking down at the village.

                Cheers,

Mark, you're posting lots of eye-candy! A neat tilt-shift (real or not, I cannot tell), a wide panorama and of course that cool view down from the mountains. Really nice!

Now, that would have been a proper mountain to climb!

Have got to be honest - a Toyota 4x4 driven by local Brother-in-law made reaching the top of the mountain a little easier!!

That explains a lot.... I would have broken a REAL sweat negotiating that hill/mountain.

                        Good one!

Last 'looking down from a hill one' for now - will move into town and the harbour for the next few.

And just a reminder of where the photos were taken - and how far north it is.

                          Cheers,
