A small day trip to Inderøya and Levanger

A small day trip to Inderøya and Levanger

Many weeks ago, I went on a day trip to the Inderøya, a small island further into the Trondheimsfjord, not far from Levanger.

The road across Inderøya is often referred to as the (in Norwegian) "den gyldne omvei" which translates to something like the "golden de-tour".

There wasn't too many images taken during the trip, but some made it to my memory chip: starting with the bridge across Skarnsundet: Skarnsundbrua:

Before the bridge, there was a ferry crossing here:

This one is for Sterkoder: at the deserted and abandoned ferry dock, there was an old classic... the NORNEN:

At the ferry dock, there was a large tray full of small rusted metal balls?

At Inderøya, I also spotted the classical vessel PAULINE:

The images of the bridge I like the most are those where that little patch of cloud almost seems to be like cotton wool that has got caught up in the wires!

Strange, those balls….(silly thoughts…reminded me of various kinds of sweets )
Oh…here’s another one of the bridge at #6…and how could I possibly not like that central dramatic placing against the sky! Impressive.

I shall leave the enthusing about the classic boats for Sterkoder’s pleasure, though not without just a mention of those coils of rope in #8/3, and noting how a centrally placed coil of rope also plays a part in the composition of #9/2…
Now would I have been photographically “brave enough” to try taking that boat, and especially the red building beyond, at that extreme angle I wonder…

We have a saying (don't know if it's possible to translate) but haven't you heard 'Det skal mere enn en kule til en trønder".
Well..., here are all the 'kuler'

Nice pictures of Pauline & Co at Inderøya.

I commented in this thread 21st October last year, but (shame on me) I only now got aware of the old boat NORNEN (as embarrassing as it might be the pictures were even dedicated to me).
Anyway...., I did a short research here now, and found out that this must be the NORNEN built in Risør in 1911, with the callsign LGEQ.
And by coincidence...., this vessel is listed as owned by a guy of 47 here in Kristiansund.
(I find this a bit too coincidentic (if that's an english word..., maybe the ending should be -al) because why should that boat be moored in that state at Inderøy in 2011 when our kristiansunder here bought it in 2007? Either he has moved, or the ship register is not updated, with a possibly new owner).

Thanks for the pictures, if I didn't say that before!!

Thank you and thank you, Sterkoder, for reminding this thread.
