  • A SUMMER TRIP IN NORWAY

In July/August, I spend three weeks in Norway.
First stop in Bergen, then three days aboard MS Trollfjord to Svolvaer where I stayed at Anker Bryggen rorbuer. Second stay at Eliassen Rorbuer near Reine. This trip in the Lofoten islands was a real delight, with a weather often mild. At last I reached Oslo by plane, a city I didn’t visit since 1981.
    Pictures will come soon….

Ah, Bergen...the town that looks so crowded from Floyen and yet on street level it isn't. Each street seems unique and that can't be said of many towns.

Thanks for the shellfishes :-) Bergen is such a beautiful city. I spent some time there in the 1970s and as an adult, I've visited quite a few times :-)

                    Enjoyable stroll around Bergen, Yves.
I don't recollect that sculpture either ...busy week just now or I could happily get distracted into checking my photo files for any glimpse of it.
I've had a similar experience in Bergen when I came across a Kjell Nupen vase sculpture, for I had only previously encountered his work in Kristiansand.

I've been trying to ID the girl's instrument in the first of the two pics. above. The nearest I have come is a 4-stringed Trail Dulcimer!
