    This is Røros

    This is Røros......

The thread started over at the old forum with 2 pages, but I would like to reopen and continue the thread here.

Røros can be such a cold place! More images when I get a free moment again....

Hopefully, you'll all like to take a short moment and ride with me to Røros. If that is actually the case, here are some images from the trip going there early this December.

Rolf crawling on roads in near negative 20 degrees temperature....:

I’ve been looking forward to this since you opened the thread here on new forum.
When I had a day in Røros I went there by bus and returned to Trondheim by the train, just for the variation. That was late January 2004 – not so cold but lots of snow - a contrast to the photos on old-forum.

That river view with the animal tracks is stunning.
And you always seem to get the angle and framing of building details like the clock of the railway station exactly right – I don’t think I’d have managed it quite so satisfactorily. That’s something I’ve often admired in your photos. I struggle to make my mind up what to include in such close-up views of buildings.

I’m sure – hope – you’ll post lots more images from your day there, please. It will be so interesting to see what you photographed with me also having been there in winter weather. (Only after I’ve seen yours will I decide if I am brave enough to show you my efforts! – but I think I can promise you a station photo as it was looking in the opposite direction from yours!!!)

It's no use for me to say anything here, because I have no words.
But anyway, I feel like saying only this:

Jan-Olav...., you are the most professional photographer I know, without getting paid for it!!!!

                  Stunning images, absolutly fantastic!

And thank you for giving so much inspiration to all the rest of us. For letting us all, or at least me, learn to see motives...., fantastic motives just laying there along a usual road in Norway NOT seen by drivers stressing along at far beyond speed limit

Keep up your work with the camera, Pro!!!

You actually found absolutely the right words to tell Jan-Olav how we feel about his extraordinary talent and the words to thank him for the inspiration he gives us.
So, as you so often do, Sterkoder, you spoke for me better than I manage to do for myself.

Thank you so very much for those encouraging words... don't know what to say either... makes me so shy!

More to follow, naturally, with fans such as you!

What a nice welcome home present!!!

I love the photos of the snow!! And the snowplow on the train...tell me about that. When do they put them on? Is it by date, or at the first snowfall? Or are they on all year?

What a sweet charming train station. But that bridge over the Gaula river is terrifying to me.

Are you taking photos while Rolf is driving top speed? Naughty boy.

Was your Daddy with you, or were you solo for this adventure? I know he likes an adventure almost as much as you....

                        They are wonderful! More more!!!

                          Rolf was cold getting there...
