    Thank you for that info!
Didn't help much though, because "Traal" is only indicated yesterday at 13:40 as being there almost 21 hours, but she's gone both before and after 13:40.
"Rogne" can't be found, any day as goes for the little yellow speedboat also.

        Handsome guy!

I have found that it is absolutely impossible to go to Alesund and NOT take such a photo of someone purchasing fish or shrimps from the boats along that quay! Even if I have crossed the road and rushing off for an “appointment” on the Helle Bridge (to be stalked on the webcam!) it draws me back and there’s another photo. Such a delight.

          Last report from Aalesund

Here comes the last report from sunny but COLD Aalesund for this time. We will be heading home to Singapore via Copenhagen on Friday.

No pic of the thermometer as the window was frozen over:

But the sun eventually got above the hills:

You could actually feel the warmth of the sun, even when the temperature in the shadow was well below zero.

The buses at the depot looks deep frozen:

Hardly a cloud in the sky for the second week in a row:

Aalesund isn't only Judgen style town houses. Here is an old villa in winter scrod:

And a more modern building on the outskirts of town:

Very nice report these Ålesund-images of yours, thank you!!!
May you have a safe voyage down to Singapore again, and I kind of envy the climate you're going to....

Great snow scenes from Ålesund, Ombugge
A pity I didn’t get across while you’ve been back in Norway. Guess I’ll just have to get to the Singapore F1 Grand Prix sometime!!!!
              Safe journey home.

You are welcome any time. Singapore has more to offer then most people think, not just F1 Grand Prix.
The first of two Integrated Resorts with Casinos and theme parks just opened. We have become "Las Vegas by the Seas" I'm afraid.

Here is the very last installment from my Aalesund visit this year.

Vigra Airport is not the busiest in the world:

But they do have "strong" security. There were more people checking 30 pax going to Copenhagen then what it takes to check a fully loaded A380 in Singapore. (I counted 12, of which half appeared to be supervising the others) I hope it makes somebody feel safe, otherwise it only serves the terrorist's cause. (Causing terror for the fainthearted, irritation to the more realistic persons and heavy costs for the travelling public, who ultimately pay for it in some form or another)

We left Aalesund in bright sunlight, just as the first cloud banks for 14 days appeared to move in from the west:

                  Airborne and heading South West:

Snow, even on the outermost little rocks:

                  Storholmen Light House:

Runde: (with the clouds moving closer)

                  Ulsteinvik and Heroy:

                  Hareidslandet with Snipsoersvatnet frozen solid:

                  Hareide:

Oersta / Volda with Hovden Airport between them:

                  Jostedalsbreen Glacier:

                  Comment

Getting above the valleys in the East and the first low clouds appears:

Soon to become a solid cloud cover:

Only a small break over Hvaler:

Looks like the ice is forming, even in open waters of the Skagerak.

The cloud cover persisted for the rest of the way to Copenhagen:

In fact if was the same the next day when we left Copenhagen and flew SE across Europe. Not a break in the clouds before the sun set over the Caspian Sea. The first sign of lights on the ground was over the plains in India, about 2/3 of the way to Singapore.

Here is the plane we took from Aalesund to Copenhagen:

Sterkoder can probably identify it for the records.

Yes, we arrived at 0600 hrs. and was home by 0715 hrs.
The first thing I did was to get into my normal home attire of Sarong and enjoy a cold beer on the veranda in 26C to watch the sun rise behind the neighbouring blocks.

No, I don't normally drink beer that early, but it was only midnight in Norway and I was still on Norwegian time, so what the heck!!
IT IS NICE TO BE HOME AND WAAAARM.

Sorry, no incriminating photo taken. It would probably have been censored anyway.
Or did you mean photo of the termometer, or the sunrise, to stay in style with the earlier posts?
