But there is so much to see Dane! I am especially fascinated by the little terrace, one with the trees in pots and one further away. I think it is because of the roofs which look like ones you would find on a single story bungalow. Except that the nearer one has this tipped angle, though it’s not really clear why it needs to be that way to fit it on to what is presumably a lift shaft.

(Oh and I also have this urge to get two photos out of this by cutting it in half horizontally and getting a skyscape with skyscrapers! )

What a terrible waste all that empty roof is... imagine if it had been covered in green grass! That would have looked awesome!

I don't know if you can see it, but this is what I woke up to this morning:

Sunshine and snowing at the same time.

After over a month in Norway with hardly any snow and here it is snowing??
(This place is less than 33 degr. North)

How about this "highly sophisticate" toilet?:

It comes with heated toilet seat.

It even warrant some "Important Safeguards":

The latest models apparently check your pulse, temperature and blood pressure while you are "doing your business".

The next model may be designed to call your regular doctor (Fastlege for you Norwegians) whenever any parameter is outside normal?

ohhhh.... Japan, one of the countries on the absolutely HIGHEST place on my want-to-go list!

Nagasaki, Yokohama, Mount Fuji.... I have been to Japan MANY times, but only with a ship and not on an overland-expedition... my dream, my dream.

What time of the year is the best to visit Mount Fuji again... to see the trees blossom?

umm.... heated toilet seat.... ?!? .... better not miss when relieving yourself... I can see an oncoming electrocution of a critical human extremity...

April-ish – depends which part of Japan – look at the section “Flower viewing” in this Wikipedia article.
No I haven’t seen the cherry blossom myself…because the Japanese F1 Grand Prix was in October !!!!

(Oh, and heated seat isn’t the only feature of some of those loos…all sorts of high pressure water washes and suchlike! So exciting! )

..... reminds me of a dear Indian friend who always had an expression.... "oh, you are tickling me...."... (but naturally, in the best punjabi-style).

Hahahaha I can just imagine that said in the appropriate accent!

Look…photos from 2001 (aren’t you impressed by my filing system rapid retrieval! )

Even Sea-Troll found it a challenge, and he still had his washing instructions attached in those days!!!!!)

Even I must admit that now I am spoiled. A cold toilet seat at home is just weird. When traveling a warm seat is... suspicious.

Also another hightech toilet with it's own WARNING note:

My suite at the Tiara Labuan Hotel a couple of days ago:

I'm deliberately not showing the Bedroom, it was in kind of a mess.

Very nice. I do not think I have ever been in a hotel room with a wood floor.
